News from Munich: The city has released the official beer prices for Oktoberfest 2026, confirming a one-liter Maß will cost between €14.80 and €15.90 across the festival's major tents.
A liter of beer now costs between €14.80 and €15.90 in the festival's major tents, reflecting a 2.38 percent increase from the 2025 range of €14.50 to €15.80. The Armbrustschützen-Festzelt will be the most expensive tent this year at €15.90, while the Augustiner-Festhalle remains the most affordable at €14.90.
The least expensive Oktoberfest beer now costs more than the most expensive liter of export beer in Munich's bars and restaurants, where prices range from €7.70 to €13.40.
Non-alcoholic drinks are barely cheaper. Average non-alcoholic prices per liter in 2026: €11.13 for water (up from €10.95), €12.84 for Spezi (up from €12.48), and €12.35 for lemonade (up from €12.11). At those rates, a liter of lemonade now costs more than a liter of beer did at the festival in 2019
This upward price trend is expected to continue into 2027. Experts anticipate the average price per liter will reach €16.00 or higher next year, as rising hosting costs, energy prices, wages, and ingredient sourcing leave tent operators with limited ability to keep prices stable.
Munich brewer Biebernick said in a statement, "I don't think people are deterred by the high prices”. “Purchasing power in Munich is, in any case, around the highest in Germany, if not in Europe”, he added.
